Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of OVERCAST ("the game"). By downloading or playing OVERCAST you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the game.

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account. Choose a player name that is not offensive, impersonating, or infringing. We may reclaim names that violate these Terms. You must meet the minimum age requirement in your country to play.

Fair play and conduct

OVERCAST is a competitive ranked game. You agree not to:

• Cheat, use unauthorized software, exploit bugs, or manipulate matchmaking or ratings.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our servers.
• Buy, sell, or trade accounts or in-game items outside the game.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Purchases, embers, and virtual items

• Virtual currency. "Embers" and cosmetic items are licensed to you for use within the game. They have no monetary value, are not your property, and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred outside the game.
• Payments. In-app purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their terms. All prices are shown before purchase.
• Refunds. Purchases are generally final. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies; we do not process payments directly.
• No pay-to-win. Purchasable items are cosmetic or convenience only and do not affect competitive outcomes.
• Changes. We may add, change, or remove items, prices, and the in-game store at any time.

Availability and changes

We provide the game "as is" and may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it — including servers, seasons, and features — at any time. We are not liable for loss of progress or virtual items resulting from service changes, maintenance, or discontinuation.

Intellectual property

OVERCAST, including its name, characters, artwork, and code, is owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play the game for your own entertainment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the game except as permitted by law.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the game is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop playing and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms. Virtual items are forfeited on termination.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the game evolves. Continued play after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
